FAQ
What is Socially Psyched?
Socially Psyched is a social network aimed specifically at clinical psychologists, students and those working in the field of mental health. We work in conjunction with our sister site, Clinically Psyched, to provide a unique community for those working in, or affected by mental health issues to communicate and share experiences.
Why was Socially Psyched established?
Socially Psyched was established due to the demand for a social network aimed specifically by those who work in, or are affected by mental health issues. Currently, there are no other psychology based social network communities online and this website was produced to cover the demand for such a service.
Is Socially Psyched aimed just at those working in, or studying clinical psychology?
No. Socially Psyched is aimed at both people associated with clinical psychology from an accademic / work level and those who are affected by mental health issues. It is our aim to provide a service whereby communication between distinct groups can occur in a friendly and informative medium.
What is your association with Clinically Psyched?
Clinically Psyched is our sister site and, as always, will remain a news based website. What makes us distinct from Clinically Psyched is that we offer a community base and require social interaction. Where as Clinically Psyched has offered a social medium, this has often been abused by unreleated people and, as such, is no longer functional. Socially Psyched however, endevours to remove inappropriate use of our social site in order to promote a thriving and useful community.
What are the rules of this social network?
Socially Psyched requires all members to adhear to the terms of service, as specified in the relative page. We will not allow spam, personal abuse, pornography or anything else we consider that will affect this site in a negative way. We expect users to have a mature attitude and to abide with our rules.
How can I help this community grow?
Members are more than welcome to invite friends to this community and are asked to actively participate in providing relevant information within their profiles, forum posts and blogs. Users can also upload articles and update events for users to utilize. Additionally, if you would like to assist in maintaining our website, users can donate to us to help cover some of our costs and overheads.
